Let It Snow

"Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!" is a 1945 song by Jule Styne and Sammy Cahn that became a winter and Christmas standard. This page has the Let It Snow chords and a backing track you can slow down, speed up and transpose.

Who wrote "Let It Snow"

Jule Styne wrote the music and Sammy Cahn the words, in July 1945 in Hollywood, during a heat wave. It never mentions Christmas, but it has been sung every December since.

Recordings that made it a standard

• Vaughn Monroe (1945) — the first hit recording.
• Dean Martin (1959) — the easy-going version heard most often today.
